The Indian National Bar Association is a professional not-for-profit lawyers association dedicated to promoting the rule of law and human rights around the world. To fulfill its mission, the association is to provide a forum for meetings and the exchange of ideas among lawyers who are interested in legal, trade and policy matters. The apex governing body is an Executive committee that provide the guideline and frame the policy/guidelines for its proper functioning of the bar association. It comprises President, Sr. Vice President, Secretary General, Chair of Several Legal Sections and other elected members. Besides the above it has a patron and advisory board composed of eminent personalities including senior lawyers, social activist, government officials, former judges, industrialist etc. INBA approach them from time to time to seek the advise or support to achieve its goal. The Legal Practice-based Section and regional chapter are INBA’s lifeblood and the engine for operations. The Section and chapter should operate in an open and entrepreneurial manner, and are considered to be the primary place within INBA for developing relationship among members. Through its legal Section and regional chapters identifies emerging areas of legal practice, and will respond to member needs related such practice area of legal practice. While doing so, it must follow the guidelines and policy of INBA. They should continue to provide their members with cutting edge practical publications, projects, policy, intiaitves, and activities of interest to lawyers. Lastly but not least, the real strength comes from permanent staff of INBA who dedicately works toward the achieving the goals and objective of INBA.
